Bekki Leonard has a diverse work experience with a strong focus on communications, marketing, and strategic initiatives. Bekki started their career as a Marketing Intern at The Kane Company in 2011. Bekki then worked as a Social Media Consultant at DCCA and Hardware Installer at DataDirect Networks in 2012. In 2013, Bekki worked as an Outreach and Social Media Intern at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp. and later as a Marketing Intern at MissionKey Communications, LLC. Bekki then took on the role of Marketing Specialist at MissionKey Communications, where they developed content for various platforms and facilitated social media engagement. In 2014, Bekki joined IMPACT Marketing & Public Relations as a Marketing Associate, where they conducted keyword research, implemented social media marketing plans, and ensured website accuracy and functionality. Returning to Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp., they held multiple roles including Communications Coordinator, where they led successful rebranding and developed social media outreach strategies, and Communications & Outreach Manager, where they increased awareness of the organization and grew the department into a team of three. Most recently, Bekki served as the Grant Development and Communications Manager, securing millions in funding and planning successful outreach campaigns. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Strategic Initiatives at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp.

Bekki Leonard obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Loyola University Maryland in the year 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing at the University of Hartford, graduating in 2012.
