Mechanical Design Engineer at Abaco Drilling Technologies

Steve Biffle has extensive experience in mechanical design engineering. Steve worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Abaco Drilling Technologies, where they were responsible for designing high-tech power sections for drilling applications, creating tooling for manufacturing new product models, and checking other designers' drawings.

Prior to that, they worked as a Design Engineer at Tenaris Coiled Tubes, LLC, where they served as a project coordinator for new product designs. Steve used Autodesk Inventor to create 3D model designs and 2D drawings, developed bills of materials (BOMs), and coordinated with sourcing and manufacturing to meet design requirements and processes.

Steve also worked at GE Aero as a Mechanical Engineer, where they were the focal lead for all product lines and CADD processes. Steve created 3D model designs and 2D drawings, managed projects for new product designs, and ensured projects stayed within budget and on track for on-time deliveries.

Earlier in their career, Steve held the role of Lead Design Engineer at New Tech Machinery, where they managed projects and designed prototype roll forming equipment. Steve also worked as a Senior CADD Coordinator at Burns & McDonnell, where they attended design meetings and produced drawing packages for water treatment plants using Autodesk AutoCAD 3D.

Steve has additional experience as a Senior Designer at OEA Inc., where they completed automotive safety specification drawings and designed tooling fixtures and mounting brackets. Steve also worked as a Senior Designer at Ice-O-Matic, redesigning ice machines and creating detailed layouts.

Steve began their career as an R&D Designer Contract at Carefree of Colorado, designing retractable awnings for the RV industry and sourcing products. Steve also served as a Designer at ITT Neo Dyn and Pacific Precision Laboratories, Inc.

Throughout their work experience, Steve has demonstrated proficiency in various design software, including Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

Steve Biffle attended Pierce College from 1985 to 1987, where they received an Associate's degree in Engineering.
