Maria Szobonya

Maria Szobonya has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Maria started their career in 1997 as a Field Sales Manager at Dun and Bradstreet. Maria then worked at Summit Autó as a Sales Group Manager, where they led a team and managed vehicular procurement. Maria joined GE Capital in 2007 as an Account Manager, responsible for hunting activities and account management. Maria later moved to Business Lease as an Account Manager, where they handled operational lease and car fleet management. In 2010, Maria worked as a Key Account Manager at CIB Bank, and in 2011, they joined MSD as a Fleet Manager, overseeing car fleet management and supporting the merger of MSD and Schering-Plough. Since 2014, Maria has been the Head of Human Resources at Abacus Medicine A/S, where they built an HR department from scratch and successfully scaled it as the company grew.

Maria Szobonya completed their Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Services at the University of Pécs from 2000 to 2004. Maria then pursued a Postgraduate degree in Science of Physical Education at Semmelweis University from 2009 to 2012. Maria also received training in Project Management at Szinergia Kft. and underwent Horse-mediated coach training. Currently, they are pursuing a postgraduate degree in Organizational Development at Budapest Metropolitan University, which started in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2021.
