Previously, Miguel served as an Interpretation Teacher at St Catharine College from July 1992 to August 1998, where education was led by AIIC members under the direction of NATO's Interpretation department's Director, Michael Francis. Miguel's educational background includes advanced studies in Translation and Interpreting at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a degree in Anglogermanic Philology from the same institution, a Diploma in Teaching with a focus on the English language from Universitat Ramon Llull, and specific training in interpreting from Dublin City University.
