Monica Schwartz

Director, Antibody Discovery at Abalone Bio

Monica Schwartz is the Senior Director at Abalone Bio, leading the incorporation of new targets and execution of the Antibody discovery platform. Prior to this role, Monica worked as a Scientist III at Zymergen, managing projects to optimize the high throughput genome engineering platform, and as a Scientist II at Achaogen, developing a microfluidic platform for antibacterial antibody discovery. Monica also spent time as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on the role of ATP hydrolysis in chromosome segregation. Monica holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BS in Molecular Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
