Samuel Crosby is an accomplished founder, writer, and storyteller with a diverse range of experiences in community engagement and storytelling. As the founder of Recalling Fire since September 2022, Samuel focuses on immersive traditional oral storytelling to inspire wonder in life. Additionally, as the co-founder and communications lead at Alia, Samuel works to re-imagine communities of care in childcare deserts. Other roles include mentoring young men in the criminal justice system with abandofbrothers and leading storytelling initiatives for various organizations, including The Wildlife Trusts and The Bio-Leadership Project. Samuel's creative contributions span writing and brand language development for numerous projects, including a variety of collaborations and engagements, reflecting a commitment to purpose-driven storytelling. Samuel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Theatre and Digital Arts from Falmouth University between 2006 and 2009.

abandofbrothers is an innovative charity tackling the problem of youth disaffection through connecting, inspiring and equipping local men to mentor young men in crisis. We are more generally concerned with the promotion of positive mature masculinity. This is central to all our programmes. "If the young men are not initiated into the tribe, they will burn down the village... Just to feel a little heat." Old African Proverb
