Elgun Gurbanov

Elgun Gurbanov has held various roles throughout their work experience. Elgun started their career with Bank of Baku OJSC in 2004, where they held positions such as Branch Manager and Chief Audit Executive. During their time there, they managed internal audit teams, coordinated audits with external organizations, and supervised branch operations.

In 2016, they joined Millikart LLC as an Audit Committee Member, and later in 2019, they became the Chairman of the Audit Committee at The International Bank of Azerbaijan-Moscow LLC. Elgun also served as the Chairman of the Internal Audit Experts Group at Azerbaijan Banks Association in 2016.

In 2018, Elgun Gurbanov joined ABB as the Chief Audit Executive, and in 2020, they took on the role of Chairman of the Audit Committee at ABB-Invest Investment Company. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Chairman of the Audit Committee at Azericard.

Throughout their career, Elgun Gurbanov has been involved in internal audit, risk management, fraud prevention, and control functions. Elgun has demonstrated their expertise in overseeing audit processes, managing teams, and providing advisory services.

Elgun Gurbanov has a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Azerbaijan State University of Economics, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Elgun later pursued a Master of Science degree in Finance from the same university from 2006 to 2008. Elgun continued their education at The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Administration from 2011 to 2015. In 2020 to 2021, they completed an Executive Course in MBA Essentials at The London School of Economics and Political Science. Most recently, from 2021 to 2022, Elgun attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business for the Adaptive Strategic Execution Program.
