Deepak Khanal

Deepak Khanal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product development and digital health solutions, particularly within the diagnostics sector. At Abbott, from April 2015 to November 2020, Deepak served as the Senior Director of Product Development, leading a global team in R&D for the Digital Health Solutions business unit and overseeing technology strategy and product roadmaps. Previously, as Director of Product Development, Deepak established a high-performing team focused on advanced informatics products, utilizing analytics and machine learning to enhance clinical laboratory capabilities. Deepak also played a pivotal role as Principal Research Engineer, contributing to the design and launch of next-generation diagnostics platforms. Earlier career experience includes a position as Lead Software Developer at Northern Illinois University and as a Software Developer at Forward.Net. Deepak holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Rutgers University and is currently pursuing an Executive Scholar program in Leading Digital Transformation at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
