Gionata Valchera

Gionata Valchera is an experienced R&D professional with a solid background in hardware and software development for medical circulatory support systems, focusing on advanced heart failure solutions. Currently serving as an R&D Manager at Abbott since January 2017, Gionata has previously held positions at Thoratec, now part of St. Jude Medical, where roles included R&D Principal Engineer and R&D Senior Engineer. Gionata's expertise extends to the semiconductor industry, having worked at ST-Ericsson and NXP Semiconductors, as well as completing an internship at Levitronix. Gionata holds a Master of Science degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ), attained in 2007.
