Jigar Patel

Jigar Patel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Vice President and Head of Nimble Therapeutics at AbbVie since January 2025, Jigar also holds the position of CEO at Nimble Therapeutics since April 2019. Prior to these roles, Jigar was a Director and Senior Scientist at Roche NimbleGen from June 2007 to March 2019, where responsibilities included leading a team in developing applications with custom chemical libraries through Maskless Photolithography. Jigar's career began at the University of Notre Dame, serving as an Associate Scientist from September 2002 to May 2007, focusing on drug resistance mechanisms and developing innovative genomic-assessment tools. Jigar earned a PhD in Quantitative Genetics from the University of Notre Dame and a B. Pharmacy from Dr. MGR Medical University.
