Niels Emmerich

Niels Emmerich serves as Vice President, Search and Evaluation & Global Alliances at AbbVie, where responsibilities include identifying strategic opportunities for collaborations, investments, and acquisitions, as well as leading technical due diligence activities. Prior to this role, Niels held various positions at AbbVie focused on commercial development in oncology, and previously worked at Abbott Laboratories overseeing marketing strategies for oncology pipeline compounds. Niels has experience as Managing Director and COO at immatics biotechnologies GmbH and managed Biopheresis GmbH. Early career experience includes strategic management consulting at McKinsey & Company and academic research in the field of Immunology at the University of Tübingen. Niels holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and an M.Sc. in Biology from the University of Tübingen, along with executive education from Harvard Business School and Stanford University.
