Shovan Rath

Shovan Rath is a highly experienced Senior Scientist at AbbVie, specializing in bioprocessing and cell culture optimization. Since February 2015, Shovan has contributed to significant advancements in CHO cell line media components, enhancing metabolite profiles and increasing amino acid bioavailability. Previous roles at AbbVie included Scientist II, where Shovan facilitated mammalian suspension culture training and improved experimental productivity during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Scientist I, where Shovan developed protocols for automated systems. Earlier experiences at Genentech focused on optimizing glycosylation profiles in monoclonal antibodies, and internships in fermentation and process development further showcased expertise in bioreactor operation and sustainable food production.
