Tanya Girard currently serves as the Head of the AbbVie Institute of Health Education, leading a team focused on delivering exceptional healthcare professional education and training across various therapeutic areas. Tanya has extensive experience in medical affairs, previously holding positions such as Therapeutic Area Lead in Rheumatology at AbbVie and Medical Advisor in Immuno-Oncology at Pfizer. Recognized for outstanding leadership and innovative contributions, Tanya has received multiple awards, including the 2022 President's Award for Rheumatology Leadership and the 2021 Canadian Medical Award. Tanya's diverse background also includes roles in managing intellectual property, corporate relations, and technology transfer, supported by a Ph.D. in Immunology from McGill University.
