Tony Pires

Tony Pires is an experienced medical professional with a strong background in immunology, infectious diseases, and dermatology. Currently serving as TA Head for Virology and GI Care at AbbVie since November 2021, Tony previously held key positions at Sanofi Genzyme as Vice President and Global Medical Head for Dermatology, and at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies as Integrated Evidence Team Leader for Immunology. With extensive experience in medical affairs, clinical research, and stakeholder management across multiple companies, Tony has consistently led data generation, medical education, and strategic initiatives in the Asia Pacific region and globally. Educational qualifications include a PhD in HIV Immunology from Imperial College London and a Professional Diploma in Marketing from London Metropolitan University, among others.
