James Longman

James Longman serves as the Chief International Correspondent for ABC News since June 2017, having previously worked as a Foreign Correspondent. Prior experience includes a role as News Correspondent at BBC from March 2012 to June 2017, where coverage focused on terrorist incidents in Europe, the Middle East, and the Syrian conflict. Longman began his journalism career at Sky News as a Broadcast Journalist from January 2011 to March 2012, primarily reporting online from Syria, and briefly worked at CNBC as an Online Producer. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Comparative Politics (Conflict) from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic from SOAS University of London. Additionally, Longman pursued Arabic studies at Damascus University before completing education at Worth School.
