Mireya Villarreal

Mireya Villarreal is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in national reporting and investigative journalism. Currently serving as a National Correspondent for ABC News since December 2021, Villarreal previously held the position of National News Correspondent at CBS News from July 2015 to November 2021, covering stories across at least 13 states for various CBS programs. Prior to that, Villarreal worked as an Investigative Reporter at CBS 11 - KTVT from January 2013 to July 2015, focusing on government corruption and consumer scams. Villarreal's career began at WOAI-TV as an Investigative Reporter from August 2008 to December 2012. Villarreal holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from The University of Texas-Pan American, completed in 2001.
