Rick Jervis

Rick Jervis is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in national and international reporting. Since July 2007, Jervis has served as a National Correspondent for USA TODAY, focusing on Texas and the Southwest across various topics, including gun issues, energy, and immigration, while also participating in reporting trips to Cuba and Mexico. Prior to this role, Jervis was the Gulf Coast Correspondent, detailing significant events and issues across the Gulf Coast region. Jervis also held the position of Baghdad Bureau Chief for USA TODAY from March 2005 to May 2007, where coverage included military operations, daily life in Iraq, and major events like the trial of Saddam Hussein. Earlier experience includes reporting for the Chicago Tribune and The Miami Herald. Jervis earned a BA in Journalism from the University of Florida.
