Ben Ingersoll

Ben Ingersoll has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Ben is currently working at Abeona Therapeutics as a Scientist, where they lead the technical team for AAV Upstream Process Development and GMP operations. Ben has also been responsible for large-scale GMP production of therapy for clinical applications, conducted batch comparability studies, and authored various production documents and reports.

Prior to their current role, Ben worked as an Associate Scientist at Abeona Therapeutics, where they developed processes for GMP production of therapeutic viral vectors and completed optimization studies. Ben also played a key role in designing production assemblies and leading a Clean Process Study for GMP manufacturing readiness.

Before joining Abeona Therapeutics, Ben held positions at Meridian Life Science, Inc. as a Production Manager, and at Thermo Fisher Scientific (formerly Affymetrix) as a Senior Production Scientist. Ben had also worked at Affymetrix and Affymetrix (formerly USB) in roles such as Production Supervisor and Production Scientist II, respectively.

Ben began their career as a Research Assistant at Kent State University and later worked as a Research Biologist at WIL Research.

Overall, Ben has demonstrated their expertise in process development, GMP production, and team leadership throughout their career in the biotechnology industry.

Ben Ingersoll completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Kent State University from 1996 to 2000, with a field of study in Biology, General. Afterward, they attended Miami University from 2000 to 2001, although no specific degree was obtained during this period. In 2016, Ben obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
