Geoffrey Kent

Founder & Co-Chairman at Abercrombie & Kent

Geoffrey Kent was born on safari and grew up on his family’s farm in Kenya. At 16, he became the first individual to motorbike between Kenya and Cape Town. After serving in the British Army, Geoffrey returned to Kenya and established Abercrombie & Kent with his parents, building it over the years into the world’s premier luxury travel company.

Geoffrey has served as chairman of the World Travel & Tourism Council, and in April 2012 was named to the British Travel and Hospitality Industry Hall of Fame for inventing the concept of experiential travel by bringing the same sense of adventure found on safari to destinations around the world. He continues to travel the world interviewing guides, scouting locations and ensuring that the standards he and his parents established nearly 60 years ago remain in place on each and every A&K journey.
