Christal Serfontein

Christal Serfontein is an experienced physiotherapist currently employed at ABI Rehabilitation New Zealand since September 2018, specializing in treating clients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and strokes within an interdisciplinary team (IDT) inpatient setting, including involvement in discharge planning. Christal's previous roles include neurophysiotherapist positions at ProActive Rehab Ltd and Nicole Duff Rehabilitation, focusing on home-based therapy and hospital rehabilitation for neurological patients. Additional experience includes serving as a Pilates instructor and physiotherapist at Pilates Dynamics Wellness Center, as well as a senior physiotherapist at Rehabilita Anne Knowles Physiotherapists and Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, where treatment of patients with neurological injuries was a primary responsibility. Christal holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Business (First Line Management) from UCOL.
