Dominic Scecchitano, MSEd, CSC, is an experienced school counselor currently serving at Abilities First, Inc. since September 2023. With a strong background in counseling, Dominic previously held positions at the Beacon City School District and The Children's Home of Kingston NY. Additionally, Dominic has extensive experience as a rowing instructor with Wappingers Crew Club Inc. and Hudson River Rowing Association since 2012 and 2015, respectively, focusing on student development in both academics and athletics. Dominic's educational background includes a Master of Science in Counselor Education from The College of Saint Rose and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from SUNY New Paltz.

ABILITIES FIRST Enriching the Lives of Children and Adults in Our Communities Founded in 1962, Abilities First is a not-for-profit organization serving the needs of the community, as well as those with developmental disabilities, from pre-school through adulthood. Abilities First has had a long-term commitment of providing a cohesive culture of compassion, empowerment and respect for people with a variety of disabilities through educational, vocational and habilitation services. It presently serves over 1,200 children and adults throughout the Hudson Valley region of New York State.
