Liz Visscher

Liz Visscher is an experienced elementary school counselor at Vicksburg Community Schools in Michigan, focusing on social-emotional learning, academics, and college readiness for K-5 students. Liz collaborates with staff, parents, and community partners to foster student success and collects meaningful data to enhance counseling programming. Prior experience includes serving as a University Switchboard Representative at Western Michigan University and completing a counseling practicum where Liz developed practical skills in client rapport and treatment planning. Additionally, Liz has worked as a Parks General Maintenance Worker for the City of Holland, contributing to landscaping and maintenance, and has mentored youth facing adversity during a capstone experience at Central Michigan University. Liz holds a Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University.
