Cristina Mendes

Cristina Mendes has a strong background in human resources, with extensive experience in various managerial roles. Cristina is currently employed as the Human Resources Director at Ability West since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Human Resources Manager at COPE Galway from July 2019 to December 2022. Cristina also held the position of Human Resources Manager at thyssenkrupp from August 2011 to February 2019, and as a Human Resources Business Partner at FLSmidth/Roymec from September 2009 to August 2011. Cristina has previous experience as a Human Resources Regional Manager at Pam Golding Properties from November 2004 to August 2009, as well as a Human Resources Manager at Moss Moris Attorneys from May 2003 to October 2004. Cristina started their career as a Senior Human Resources Officer at PPS, where they worked from September 1991 to April 2003.

Cristina Mendes obtained a Human Resources Management Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in 1992. In 2013, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Organizational Communication from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, completing it in 2017. In 2019, they attended the National College of Ireland and earned a CIPD in Human Resources Management and Services, which they completed in 2020. Currently, Cristina is pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Change from the University of Sunderland in London, expected to be completed in 2023.
