Paulo Silva

Paulo Silva has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Their most recent position is as the Director of Operations at AbiMar Foods, Inc., which they started in August 2022. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2023, they worked at Compañía de Galletas Noel S.A.S., where they held the role of Director of PMO and Engineering for the Cookie Business in Grupo Nutresa.

Before that, Paulo worked at Michelin from 2010 to 2015, where they held two roles: Production and Operations Manager in Brazil and Maintenance and Projects Manager. In these roles, they implemented Lean Maintenance strategies, improved asset reliability, and optimized the preventive-predictive maintenance plan.

From 2009 to 2010, Paulo worked at Amcor as the Projects Manager for Amcor Rigid Plastics South America. In this role, they designed and implemented project management policies, guidelines, and procedures for the region.

Before that, Paulo worked as a Senior Consultant in Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, and Project Management at AMS Group Ltda. in 2009. Paulo provided consulting services to clients such as PETROBRAS and Cementos y Concretos Argos, implementing reliability engineering and asset management programs.

In 2006, Paulo joined Alpina as the Industrial Maintenance and Capex Projects Manager for the plants in the southwest region. Paulo successfully led the maintenance department, ensured asset integrity, and managed the execution of investment projects.

From 2002 to 2006, Paulo worked at Royal Friesland Foods as the Project and Maintenance Manager in Colombia. Paulo was responsible for implementing asset management strategies and managing investment projects.

Prior to their industry experience, Paulo worked as an Advisor in Project Management at Universidad del Cauca for a short period in 2002.

Throughout their career, Paulo Silva has demonstrated expertise in operations management, project management, asset management, and reliability engineering. Paulo has a proven track record of implementing lean strategies, improving asset reliability, and executing successful investment projects.

Paulo Silva completed their education in a chronological manner. Paulo obtained a specialization in Digital Transformation from The George Washington University School of Business from the year 2019 to 2020, focusing on Digital Strategy. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA Executive degree from ISEAD between 2011 and 2012, with a focus on general administration and management. Paulo also holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, which they earned from 1997 to 2002.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Paulo has obtained several certifications. Paulo is a Certified Scrum@Scale holder from Scrum, Inc, achieved in April 2018. Paulo also holds a Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance, acquired in June 2017. Paulo achieved the Prince2 certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in March 2016.
