Joseph Novak

Joseph Novak is a Senior Sensor Engineer II at Abiomed. Previously, Joseph held roles such as Program Manager & Scientist at Forward Photonics, LLC., Principal Laser Engineer at BAE Systems, Inc., and Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Philips Healthcare. Joseph also worked as an Application Engineer at Vistec Lithography, Inc. and RPI Focus Center Collaboration, focusing on sample fabrication and SEM analysis for manufacturing and troubleshooting production-level e-beam lithography tools. Joseph completed their Ph.D. at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a dissertation on the design, fabrication, and packaging of Mach-Zehnder Interferometers for biological sensing applications. During their time at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Joseph also served as a Teaching Assistant.
