Kate Loe, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Kate started their career as an Organizational Assistant at Queen's University Clinical Simulation Centre in 2014. In 2015, they took on the role of a Teaching Assistant at Queen's University - Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, while also serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Queen's University Biomedical Computing Lab.

In 2017, Kate worked as a Biomedical Engineering Intern at Diamedica UK Ltd, gaining hands-on experience in the field. Kate then joined Diamedica UK Ltd again in 2019 as a Development Engineer, contributing to the company's projects.

During the same year, Kate was also a Medventions Fellow at Sunnybrook, where they further honed their skills in their field. Their most recent position was at ABK Biomedical Inc., where they held multiple roles. Kate initially started as an Engineering Associate in 2020 before transitioning to be an Engineering Specialist. Currently, they hold the position of Process Development Engineer at the company.

Throughout their career, Kate has showcased their expertise and commitment to engineering, contributing to various projects and gaining valuable experience in the field.

Kate Loe, P.Eng. obtained their high school diploma from Lorne Park Secondary School in the year 2011. Kate then pursued their Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering - Biomechanical Option at Queen's University from 2011 to 2016. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in a full-year academic exchange at Trinity College Dublin, focusing on Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in 2013-2014.

Following their bachelor's degree, Kate pursued their Master of Biomedical Engineering degree from Delft University of Technology, specializing in Medical Instruments and Medical Safety, from 2016 to 2018. Their educational background reflects a strong interest in the intersection of mechanical and biomedical engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Kate has obtained various certifications. Kate became a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) through Engineers Nova Scotia in May 2022. Furthermore, they acquired the ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor certification from BSI in June 2022, showcasing their competence in quality management systems for medical devices. Additionally, they obtained their Emergency First Aid CPR "A" & AED certification from St. John Ambulance Canada | Ambulance Saint-Jean in June 2021.
