Meredith Prain

Meredith Prain, PhD, is the National Head of Research and Centre of Excellence - Deafblind at Able Australia, where they lead initiatives focused on advancing research and training in the field of deafblindness. With over 20 years of experience in the disability sector, they have worked extensively as a Speech Pathologist and Deafblind Consultant, particularly during their tenure at Able Australia from 1995 to 2016. Currently, Meredith also contributes as a Research Assistant at Deakin University, supporting various projects aimed at enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Their educational background includes a Ph.D. in Disability Studies from RMIT University and ongoing studies in Speech Pathology at La Trobe University.
