Arsalan Zahoor

Arsalan Zahoor has a strong background in engineering and management, with experience in both the private and military sectors. Arsalan is currently working as a Base Chief Engineer and Project Manager Maritime at ABM Info Tech (Pvt.) Ltd. Their previous role was with A.A Joyland Pvt. Ltd., where they served as the Head of the Technical Department and Senior Manager Maintenance. Arsalan also held the position of Maintenance Manager, overseeing installation, repair, and upkeep operations. Prior to their time in the private sector, Arsalan Zahoor served in the Pakistan Navy, holding various roles including Staff Duties (Lieutenant), Naval Officer, Officer Incharge Power House, and Marine Engineer.

Arsalan Zahoor completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, they also pursued a marine engineering specialization at Pakistan Navy Engineering College. Zahoor additionally completed a management course in military management for junior naval officers at the Junior Officers Staff Duty Course from PNS Rahnuma Karachi in 2010.

In 2009, they enrolled in the Nuclear Biological Chemical Defense and Fire Fighting Course from PNS KARSAZ Karachi, focusing on defense against nuclear and biological damage on warships. Continuing their military education, Zahoor completed the Ordinance Engineering and System Management Course from Pak Navy Ammunition Depot Karachi in 2012. This course offered a basic understanding of weapons and ammunition.

Zahoor further pursued their interest in explosives by taking a Proof and Experimental Course from the ITD School of Pak Army at Chaklala Garrison Rawalpindi in 2013, specializing in military explosives and weapons. Prior to their engineering studies, they completed their pre-engineering FSC from Public College Hyderabad in 2005.

Arsalan received their SSC Matriculation degree from St Bonaventure Boys High School Hyderabad from 1992 to 2003. Zahoor also gained expertise in security administration through the Security and Intelligence Officer Course at Pakistan Navy Intelligence School in 2015, and in missile maintenance engineering through the Missile Maintenance Engineer Course at Naval Aeronautical Engineering Institute Yantai, China, and Shandong University from 2014 to 2015.

Currently, Zahoor is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Material Science from NED University of Engineering and Technology, scheduled to be completed from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including Registered Engineer from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) from NED University of Engineering and Technology, and IELTS 7 band overall from the British Council. Zahoor also obtained the Intelligence and Security Certificate and Engineering Watch Keeping Certification from the Pakistan Navy, as well as the Marine Engineer title.
