Bas Hemelaar

Bas Hemelaar currently serves as the CFO of Asset Based Finance at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., a role held since December 2017, overseeing operations across multiple countries including the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, France, and Belgium. Prior to this, Bas Hemelaar held several leadership positions at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. from July 2010 to November 2017, including CEO Europe ad interim and Deputy CEO Europe, along with responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer for the European segment. Bas Hemelaar’s career also includes significant roles in treasury and financial management at Fortis Bank Nederland and ING. Educational qualifications feature a series of executive programs focused on big data, strategy, management, and leadership from prestigious institutions such as Nyenrode Business University and Erasmus University.
