Shaun Mortimer

Principal Solicitor, Criminal Practice at Aboriginal Legal Service

Shaun Mortimer serves as the Principal Solicitor of Criminal Practice at the Aboriginal Legal Service since April 2020, overseeing criminal law services across 19 offices in New South Wales. Shaun has previously held positions as Deputy Principal Solicitor for both Coastal and Regional divisions within the same organization and has extensive experience managing criminal law practices at Legal Aid NSW in various regional offices. Shaun's legal career includes roles as Senior Solicitor and Managing Lawyer, where responsibilities involved acting in multiple court jurisdictions and advocating for Aboriginal clients in criminal matters. Shaun holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Laws from UNSW, along with additional degrees in International Relations and Politics.
