Tom Barrett is an experienced data scientist with a strong background in credit risk and financial services. Currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at Abound since April 2022, Tom has progressed through various roles including Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist, focusing on a holistic approach to evaluating lending qualifications. Prior experience includes a position as a Consultant - Credit Risk Quant at EY from September 2020 to March 2022, where Tom contributed to financial services risk management in the EMEIA region. Tom began his professional journey at EY as a Summer Intern in IT Risk, specifically in UKFS Advisory, in July 2019. Educationally, Tom earned a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Bristol from 2017 to 2020, following attendance at Bishop Wordsworth’s Grammar School from 2010 to 2017.
