Venu V.

Venu V. has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as an Oil Technologist at Dewas Soya ltd in 1994 and later worked as a Site Engineer at PEG Consultants and Engineers (pvt) ltd in 1995. From 1996 to 1999, Venu V. held the position of Production Manager at Kalyani Refineries (Pvt) Ltd, where they were responsible for producing sunflower oil and cottonseed oil.

In 1999, Venu V. joined Sharplex Filters (India) Pvt Ltd as a Project Engineer, overseeing sales and service and designing solutions to meet customer requirements. From 2001 to 2006, they worked at Iberol - Sociedade Ibérica de Biocombustíveis e Oleaginosas as a Production Engineer, responsible for operations in a soybean crushing, refinery, and biodiesel facility.

In 2011, Venu V. became a Senior Process Engineer at Projecto Detalhe, Lda, managing process engineering functions for projects in multiple locations. From 2013 to 2019, they worked at Louis Dreyfus Company as a Refinery Manager and later as a Refinery & Utilities Manager, coordinating daily operations in a canola oil extraction and production facility.

In 2019, Venu V. joined NorQuin as a General Manager Operations, overseeing organizational leadership and meeting customer requirements. They later became the Vice President of Operations before the company was acquired by Above Food Corporation in 2022.

Currently, Venu V. is the Director of Technology Innovation at Above Food, where they are part of the executive team and responsible for acquiring new process technologies, assisting with M&A due diligence, and managing projects at the Above Food Ingredient Centre (AFIC) in Saskatoon.

Venu V. started their education in 1988 at Kakatiya University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Venu completed this degree in 1991. Following this, from 1991 to 1994, Venu studied at Acharya Nagarjuna University, specializing in Chemical Engineering and earning a post-degree Bachelor of Science in Technology.

In terms of additional certifications, Venu obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate from The University of Georgia in December 2015.
