Sven Hamann has a diverse education history. Sven completed their Basic Studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen between 2000 and 2003. Sven then pursued an Engineer's Degree in Industriales at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2003. In the same year, they also obtained an Engineer's Degree in Micro- and Nanotechnology at Ruhr University Bochum. Sven further expanded their knowledge in this field by completing a Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.Ing.) degree in Micro- and Nanotechnology at the Center of Advanced European Studies and Research in 2006. Sven continued their academic journey at Ruhr University Bochum and obtained a Dr.-Ing. / Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from 2006 to 2013. In 2017, Sven attended the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School for a period. Most recently, in 2023, they attended the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
