Sven Hamann

Sven Hamann has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Sven is currently the Director R&D and Technology Innovation Global at Sport Group Holding, where they lead the global R&D and Technology organization. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of R&D and Technology Projects at Sport Group Holding, where they implemented global standards for project management and new product development.

Before joining Sport Group Holding, Sven worked as the Director Recycling Technology at FormaTurf GmbH. Sven also served as the Managing Director at delphoi INNOVATION CONSULTING.

Sven has experience in academia as well, serving as a Lecturer at FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management. Their expertise lies in engineering and leadership, particularly in materials science, micro- and nanotechnology, and process engineering.

Earlier in their career, Sven worked at Vesuvius GmbH, where they held various roles including European Head of Laboratories and Development, Head of Laboratories and Development, and Laboratory Manager. Sven successfully managed research and development laboratories, implemented state-of-the-art R&D approaches, and expanded the service organization.

Sven's research experience includes working as a Research group leader/Scientist at Ruhr-University of Bochum, where they focused on functional magnetic materials, smart materials, and functional ceramics. Sven has also worked as a Research & Development Engineer for industrial projects and as a Visiting Research Scientist at Leipniz Institut for Solid State and Materials Research.

Sven began their career as a Leutnant in the German Army and has also worked as a Research Scientist at the Centre of Advanced European Studies and Research. Sven holds a cand. Ing. position at Airbus and has pursued a Ph.D. in materials science.

Sven Hamann has a diverse education history. Sven completed their Basic Studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen between 2000 and 2003. Sven then pursued an Engineer's Degree in Industriales at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2003. In the same year, they also obtained an Engineer's Degree in Micro- and Nanotechnology at Ruhr University Bochum. Sven further expanded their knowledge in this field by completing a Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.Ing.) degree in Micro- and Nanotechnology at the Center of Advanced European Studies and Research in 2006. Sven continued their academic journey at Ruhr University Bochum and obtained a Dr.-Ing. / Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from 2006 to 2013. In 2017, Sven attended the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School for a period. Most recently, in 2023, they attended the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
