Russell Abberley

Russell Abberley serves as Acting President and is a member of the Board of Directors at The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). Previously, Russell held significant roles at Amgen, including VP and General Manager for the UK and Ireland, as well as Business Unit Director for General Medicine and Biosimilars. As Chair of the American Pharmaceutical Group, Russell contributed to industry leadership. Russell's experience at AstraZeneca encompassed positions such as Business Unit Director for Respiratory, Inflammation, and Autoimmune, and Global Marketing Director for Respiratory Biologics. Russell also served as Business Unit Director and Executive Director for Anesthesia Europe at MSD. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM and a Bachelor's degree in Economic and Social History from the University of Leicester.
