Meir Smaja

Meir Smaja has extensive work experience in the field of Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehousing (DWH), Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, SAS software, and analytics.

In 1996, Smaja started working as a Senior BI Consultant at Gilon Business Insight. Meir held this role for ten years and was responsible for various aspects of BI, DWH, ETL, SAS, and managing projects.

In 2006, Smaja became the Owner and CEO of CITRINE, where they further developed their expertise in BI, DWH, ETL, SAS, and managed a team of analysts and project managers.

The following year, in 2007, Smaja joined Advantech Israel as the BI Division Manager, continuing their involvement in BI, DWH, ETL, SAS, and overseeing analysts and project managers.

From 2006 to 2007, Smaja worked at Panorama as a Presales Manager, focusing on sales support and customer engagements.

Starting in 2019, Smaja joined the Ministry of Health as the Business Intelligence Team Lead, leading a team in BI initiatives.

Currently, Smaja holds the position of Head of Data & Analytics at Abra, starting in 2023.

Meir Smaja obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The Open University of Israel in 2006. In 2022, they attended Bar-Ilan University and completed programs in Chief Data Officer - CDO and CIO. Additionally, in 2023, they pursued further studies in Network Management and Information Security at Bar-Ilan University. In 1996-1997, they also attended Yeuda Vesomron College, although specific details about their degree or field of study are not provided.
