Susan Kardos currently serves as the Chief Strategy and Advancement Officer at The Abraham Joshua Heschel School and Co-Chair of the Advisory Board for CASJE at George Washington University. Prior experience includes a decade-long role as Senior Director of Strategy and Education Planning at The AVI CHAI Foundation, where Susan managed a significant funding strategy for Jewish day schools. Additional roles span university teaching and research, including directives with the Project on the Next Generation of Teachers and initiatives at Combined Jewish Philanthies. Susan's earlier career featured teaching positions at Tuxedo Park School and Dwight-Englewood School, where Susan earned the Williams Award for Creative Excellence in K-12 Teaching. Educational credentials include an EdD and EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education and an AB from Brown University, with a recent certification in Non-profit Management from Kellogg Executive Education.
