James Bryden

James joined Standard Life Investments in 2015 and ran a number of major change programmes including the implementation of MiFID II before moving to Internal Audit in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer. He joined Investments and the IMC in February 2020 as the CIO's Head of Business Management leading on functional strategy, capabilities, communications and the coordination of pan-Investments business management. Prior to joining the business James was a Lieutenant Colonel in the British Army where he served in Afghanistan, the Balkans, Northern Ireland and the MoD.
