Sharyn Clarkson-Kent FLPI has a diverse work experience in the Learning and Development field. Sharyn was the Head of Learning and Development at Abri Group, where they led a team in creating sustainable learning solutions and achieved the LPI Gold accreditation. Prior to that, they worked at Kwik-Fit (GB) Ltd as the Recruitment and Talent Development Manager, where they established and managed a central Recruitment & Talent function. Sharyn also designed and delivered leadership development interventions and managed various HR-related tasks. Before that, they worked at B&Q as a Core Development Specialist in Learning and Development, supporting the learning needs of 300 stores and 330,000 staff, specifically in the Kitchen, Bathrooms, and Bedroom category. And their earliest role was as the Personnel & Training Manager at Shire Hotels, where they focused on talent acquisition and development, designed a national Customer Service academy, and implemented an e-learning program.

Sharyn Clarkson-Kent FLPI graduated from Bournemouth University in 2005 with a BA (Hons) degree in Tourism Management. Additionally, they obtained a Post-grad Certificate in Personnel and Development (CIPD) from Solent University. In terms of certifications, Sharyn is a Certified Practitioner - Strengthscope Leader and a Certified Practitioner from Strengthscope. Sharyn also holds the title of Fellow LPI and Fellow of the Learning and Performance Institute from The LPI (Learning and Performance Institute). Furthermore, they are an Insights Discovery Client Practitioner certified by Insights. In 2011, Sharyn obtained the Welcome Host Gold Accredited Trainer certification for customer service excellence from Tourism South East. Lastly, they received a Level 4 Diploma in IAG (Information, advice and guidance) from City and Guilds QCF in 2009.
