Katie Olson has extensive work experience in the field of dairy product development and genetics. Katrina (Katie) started their career in 2008 as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at Virginia Tech, where they conducted research until 2010. Katrina (Katie) then joined NAAB as a Research geneticist from 2010 to 2011, focusing on genomic evaluations and fertility in dairy cattle. In 2012, they joined ABS Global as a Research Scientist, and later became the Lead Research Scientist in 2014. Katrina (Katie) is currently the Global Director for Dairy Product Development at ABS Global.
Katrina (Katie) Olson pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1998 to 2002, they attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education. Following this, they enrolled at Colorado State University from 2003 to 2005 and completed their master's degree in Animal Science with a specialization in Genetics. Finally, from 2005 to 2008, they attended Virginia Tech, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Animal Science with a focus on Genetics.
