Mikel Lucas

Mikel Lucas, SHRM-SCP, has a strong background in talent acquisition and employee development roles. Currently, Mikel serves as the Director of Global Talent Acquisition at ABS, leading a team of 18 professionals across multiple countries. Prior to this, they were the Leader of Talent Acquisition and Employee Development in North America for Nouryon, a global chemical manufacturing company. Mikel also held the position of VP of Talent Acquisition, Development, and Employee Relations at Summit Midstream Partners, where they were responsible for various HR functions. Before that, they worked as a Manager of Talent Acquisition at McDermott International and Chesapeake Energy. Mikel began their career as a Manager of Human Resources at Walmart Distribution Center and worked as a Recruiter at Westwood College earlier on.

Mikel Lucas, SHRM-SCP, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management from Oklahoma State University, which was completed in 2004. In addition, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in 2018, the Strategic Human Resources Business Partner Certification (sHRBP) from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in 2021, the Designated Employer Representative (DER) Training for DOT and PHMSA from Certified Training Solutions in 2017, and the PHR Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2008.
