Rosevelt Fernandes has over 24 years of work experience in the maritime industry. Rosevelt began their career as an Engineering Apprentice at Mazgaon Docks Limited in Mumbai, India in 1997. From 1998 to 2006, they worked at A.P. Moller - Maersk as a Marine Engineer, holding the position of Class I Marine Engineer Officer. Fernandes then joined DNV GL - Maritime in 2006, where they worked as a Marine/Ship Surveyor and Management Systems Auditor until 2018. At RightShip, they served as a Vetting Superintendent and Business Development Manager from 2018 to 2021. Currently, Fernandes is the Director of Regional Business Development at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) as of October 2021.

Rosevelt Fernandes has a comprehensive education history in the field of marine engineering and business administration. In 1991, Rosevelt completed their high school education at Loyola High School. They then pursued Mechanical Engineering at the Institute of Ship Building Technology from 1993 to 1996, specializing in Power Engineering. Most recently, Rosevelt earned an MSc in Marine Engineering, specializing in Marine Transportation at the University of Plymouth, which they completed between 2019 and 2021. Additionally, Rosevelt obtained a certification in "Communicating with Charisma" from LinkedIn in 2020.
