Alton Govender

Alton Govender has over 14 years of work experience in various roles in the fields of solutions architecture, management consulting, and consultancy. Alton began their career at IBM Global Business Services as a Consultant from January 2009 to February 2012. Alton then joined Automated Workflow South Africa Pty. Ltd. as a Senior Consultant from March 2012 to April 2013. Alton then worked as a Management Consultant at Deloitte South Africa from May 2013 to September 2015. Alton moved on to Investec as a Solutions Architect from October 2015 to August 2023. Currently, Alton holds the position of VP - Lead Solutions Architect at Absa Group, starting in September 2023.

Alton Govender holds a BComm degree in Information Systems and Technology and Information Systems Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal Durban. Additionally, they obtained certification as a TOGAF® 9 Certified professional from The Open Group in 2019.
