Desch Pillay

Desch Pillay is currently the Head of Audit for Group Internal Audit Reporting and Operations at Absa Group, a position held since September 2021. Prior to this role, Desch served as the Head of Audit for Group Internal Audit Operations, Technical and Advisory at Nedbank from January 2017 to September 2021, and previously held various managerial positions at PwC from January 2002 to December 2016, culminating as Senior Audit Manager. Desch Pillay holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Bachelor of Commerce in the same field from the same institution. Additionally, Desch has pursued further education at the Institute of Internal Auditors and completed a Postgraduate Degree in Management Practices from Henley Business School - South Africa.
