Michal Paliculin

Michal Paliculin is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in electronic trading and market technology. Currently serving as the Director and Head of Markets IT at Absa Group since October 2015, Michal oversees Markets IT teams and strategy, and previously held the role of Director, Head of Electronic Trading IT. Prior to joining Absa Group, Michal worked at Barclays Capital as a Vice President and Electronic Trading Development Lead, where responsibilities included leading the electronic trading development team in Prague. Earlier experiences include roles at Susquehanna International Group focused on developing complex options trading strategies and systems, alongside positions at IBM and Kontron, where contributions were made to software engineering and project management in automation technologies. Michal holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Brno University of Technology, obtained in 2005.
