Penny Solomon

Penny Solomon is an accomplished compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as the ABSA Head of Compliance for Enterprise Core Functions since October 2019, Penny previously held the position of Executive Head of Compliance at Vodacom from March 2013 to September 2019. Prior roles include Group Legal Compliance Manager for Africa at Sasol, and Divisional Compliance Officer for Finance, Risk & Audit at FirstRand Bank Limited. Penny began a legal career as a candidate attorney at the public defenders office from 1998 to 2000. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a B.Proc in Law, both obtained from the University of the Western Cape.
