Philip Lane

Philip Lane serves as the Deputy General Counsel at Desktop Metal since February 2022, focusing on intellectual property management, strategy, and corporate law matters. Previously, Philip held the position of Assistant General Counsel for IP and Commercial at both Desktop Metal and ExOne, where responsibilities included managing IP portfolios and various agreements. With a rich background as a Patent Attorney and Program Manager, Philip has experience in intellectual property matters, joint development collaborations, and R&D programs. Philip's legal career began as a Patent Agent, and Philip has worked within reputable firms such as McGuireWoods. Philip holds a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law, a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
