Roopa Bharath

Roopa Bharath has a diverse work experience across various companies. Roopa started their career at Mars in 2001, where they served as an IT Account Manager. Roopa demonstrated strong technical and functional problem-solving skills, managed projects and budgets, and maintained effective communication with colleagues and users. From 2011 to 2012, they worked at Acutech Business Solutions as a Project Manager/Solutions Manager. In 2012, they joined Sanofi and held the role of IS Manager until 2016. Roopa then served as the Head of Information Technology & Solutions-Business Partner for South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Head of IT at Bridgestone South Africa (Pty) Ltd. Currently, they are working at Absa Group as the Lead Technology for ERP since 2021 and Head of Technology-Finance Management & ERP since November 2022.

Roopa Bharath holds a Bachelor's Degree in B Com Informatics from the University of Pretoria. Roopa also obtained a B Com Hons (Informatics) from the same university. In terms of additional certifications, Roopa Bharath is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has certifications from Microsoft, including MCTS: Microsoft Project 2010, Managing Projects and MCTS: Project Server 2010, Configuration. Roopa also holds a certification in ITIL from Foster-Melliar and is a Prince 2 Practitioner certified by APMG International.
