Kuldeep Kumawat

Kuldeep Kumawat is a highly experienced professional in the field of pharmacology and drug discovery, currently serving as the Head of Disease Biology at Absci since February 2023. Responsibilities include leading a research team to support the development of novel antibody therapeutics through comprehensive pharmacology work. Prior to Absci, Kuldeep held significant roles at Bayer Pharmaceuticals as a Scientific Project Lead, focusing on cross-functional drug development and target discovery in pulmonary indications. Additional experience includes a postdoctoral researcher position at UMC Utrecht, where research centered on virology and respiratory inflammation, alongside previous roles at the University of California, San Francisco, and Bose Institute. Kuldeep holds a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Groningen and advanced degrees in biology and zoology from the University of Rajasthan.
