Vishal Kothari is a highly collaborative team leader with over 15 years of experience in oncology, immune-oncology, and drug discovery. Vishal held positions as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan Medical Center, a senior research fellow at ACTREC, and an assistant professor at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Currently, Vishal serves as a Senior Scientist II and Group Lead at Absci, where they focus on AI drug discovery and translational research. Vishal has successfully translated therapeutic candidates from discovery to clinical trials, mentoring junior scientists and fostering collaborations within the scientific community. They earned a PhD in Gene Therapy and Molecular Biology from the University of Mumbai.
