Troy Powell

Troy Powell has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on talent management and employee relations. Troy'smost recent position was as the Director of Human Resources and Talent Management at Absorb Software, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Human Resources at Betacom Incorporated from October 2020 to May 2022. From October 2015 to October 2020, they served as the Director of Human Resources Operations at Marriott International. Before joining Marriott, Troy worked at Macy's as a Human Resources Manager for the DelMarVA district from November 2014 to October 2015. Troy also held the role of District Human Resources Manager at Sodexo at George Mason University from July 2013 to November 2014. Troy began their career as the Human Resources and Volunteer Services Manager at Granville Health System in June 2011, where they managed various HR functions, implemented cost-saving initiatives, and improved employee engagement and satisfaction.

Troy Powell has an MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the University of Maryland University College. Troy also holds an MS-HRM in Human Resources from the same institution. Additionally, they have a BSW in Social Work from Limestone College. Troy has obtained a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute in June 2013.
